Happy International Women's Day!

While the aviation industry and its companies are typically male-dominated, Wingstars strives to be different. We are working to create an aviation company that includes a higher proportion of women - not just for the sake of it, but because we know a more diverse workforce will lead to new ideas, more innovation and better problem-solving (this is backed by research).

In honor of International Women's Day, we are proud to celebrate four talented women who have played a key part in our success to date. This includes women on both our advisory board and our leadership team.

The Wingstars advisory board includes two women and two men. Achieving gender parity was not a coincidence! Our founders decided that an effective advisory board would include both women and men, to ensure that a variety of experiences and perspectives would be available to guide us. Vicki Benoit and Heini Noronen-Juhola have proven this to be true.

Our small leadership team includes two women, Stephanie Bendickson and Irene Romero. These women were selected not only for their breadth of knowledge in their respective fields, but also for their extensive experience in the aviation industry. Both women bring unique skills and perspectives to the team and have been key to the successful start up of the company.
