Advisory Board

The Wingstars advisory board consists of accomplished leaders with extensive backgrounds in aviation, deicing and glycol recovery, global outreach, and business management. These individuals mentor, guide and provide counsel to our leadership team to ensure we never lose focus of our objectives.

Vicki Benoit

Vicki Benoit is a recognized leader in the Canadian air transport industry. Her unique background, which includes customer service innovation, strategic planning, airport operations, and corporate development, fueled her exceptional achievements in leading high-performing, cross-functional teams throughout her career. From 1987 to 2018, from Ottawa to Montreal by way of London, England, Vicki succeeded in various senior roles at Air Canada, always engineering strategies and empowering employees to deliver the highest standard of customer service. From 2009 to 2013, she oversaw Air Canada’s winter operations program worldwide. She is currently Vice President, Aviation Services at GardaWorld. Vicki is a graduate of Carleton University and holds a graduate diploma in Advanced Management from the European School of Management and Technology. She also holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Pete Wanner

Pete Wanner has been working in the aviation industry since the late 1970s. Over his career, Pete has worked for general aviation companies, large charter and regional scheduled air operators, ground handlers and tour operators. He is now a consultant, providing expertise in the areas of jet fuel administration, tax recovery, tender and contract, consortium executive committees, and airport services. His clients include international charter airlines, international scheduled carriers, cargo carriers, jet fuel resellers, international airports, and large business aviation operators. Pete is a certified CGA/CPA accountant in Canada. He has served as CFO for several public companies and has served as a board member for various organizations, including not-for-profit, mining, alternative energy, medical supplies, and software development.

Heini Noronen-Juhola

Heini Noronen-Juhola is an accomplished business executive, who worked in business development, financing, and venture capital before moving into the aviation industry. She became Vice President of Airline Operations at Helsinki Airport in 2008. In her role she worked in all aspects of flight operations, environmental safety, and ground handling ground operations, including winter operations. She was also in charge of special situations and crisis management. She worked closely with airlines and ground handling companies, as well as industry organizations including ICAO, IATA, EASA, Eurocontrol and others. In her role as Director of Development at Finavia, she led its sustainability strategy and drove the rollout of the digitized cargo operations. She currently has her own consulting company and is also a senior lecturer of aviation at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. Heini has a Master of Science in Engineering (Corporate Strategy) from Helsinki University of Technology.
