Chris Schock is one of the deicing industry’s most respected subject matter experts in safety, standards and procedures, training, and quality management.
He has a unique understanding of the industry, having worked with airport authorities, deicing service providers, air operators, FBOs, eHOT providers, and consultancies. He has been part of the management team which operates the Toronto Pearson Central Deicing Facility, one of the world’s largest and busiest facilities. He has created and managed ground icing, training, and quality programs, and has facilitated theoretical, practical, and train the trainer courses, and developed the first shared/pooled de/anti-icing audit program in Canada.
Chris is an active participant in various industry groups, including Transport Canada SCOUIC and SAE G-12. He holds Certificates in Occupational Health and Safety and Adult Education – Staff Training and Development from Seneca Polytechnic, a Diploma in Avionics Engineering Technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), and is an Exemplar Global certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
